This new state park pass gives all Coloradans an easy way to invest in Colorado’s outdoors, wildlife and local communities in a meaningful way. Your contribution shows you care about Colorado and want to keep our landscapes healthy for current and future generations. Money raised will be used to protect wildlife habitats, search and rescue programs, avalanche safety, local outdoor community projects and more.
The Keep Colorado Wild Pass is an annual state park pass that:
- Provides entry to all Colorado state parks
- Protects wildlife, lands and water
- Supports search and rescue programs
- Funds trails and local community projects
- Helps make the outdoors safe and available to all
Quick Facts
- The pass is only offered to Colorado residents during the Colorado vehicle registration process.
- The $29 pass fee is included in the vehicle registration pricing total for each vehicle a resident owns unless they choose to decline.
- Residents can decline the pass when registering a vehicle with the DMV online, through a kiosk or by notifying a customer service representative.
- All regularly priced CPW park passes are still available to customers who are ineligible to buy a Keep Colorado Wild Pass.
- CPW launched a public engagement campaign to ask residents in disproportionately impacted communities about the use and affordability of state parks. Residents can share feedback by attending a focus group or by submitting an online comment form (in English and Spanish).
