It has already been a busy summer, but human-bear conflict is only ramping up. Colorado is experiencing the highest levels of human-bear conflict we have seen, with more than 7,000 reports of incidents – which includes sightings and conflicts – already coming directly to Colorado Parks and Wildlife offices in 2026.

I found it funny that while we were trying to listen to nature sounds with Tyler in Golden Canyon State Park and he complained of airplane noise interfering at one point, we were distracted by background music the whole time!
