  • ​March 1, 2026 — Applications accepted/most qualifying licenses available for purchase starting on this date
  • April 7, 2026 — Application & correction deadline, 8 p.m. MT

Secondary Limited License Draw

  • June 18, 2026 — Secondary draw applications accepted starting on this date
  • June 30, 2026 — Secondary draw application & correction deadline, 8 p.m. MT

Leftover & Over-the-Counter Licenses

  • Aug. 4, 2026 — Remaining (leftover) limited licenses on sale online, in person and by phone, 9 a.m. MT
  • Aug. 4, 2026 — Over-the-counter licenses on sale, 9 a.m. MT

Colorado Parks and Wildlife Announces Wolverine Restoration Plan

The North American wolverine (Gulo gulo luscus) was part of Colorado’s native fauna until it was extirpated during the early 1900s. Now CPW is restoring the species back to the state. The restoration of wolverines to Colorado was authorized by a bipartisan list of supporters in the 2024 Colorado State Legislature through the passage of SB24-171.
