Colorado Parks and Wildlife is launching a new website on August 21, 2024. We’ve listened to customers, constituents and staff over the years, and used that feedback to create an entirely new website for the agency.
The website’s look and feel will be fresh and more appealing, with more pathways to the information you want and need from the agency.
Our new park finder is a great example of how we aim to improve the customer experience on the new website. Instead of choosing a park by map pins, we now provide a variety of ways to filter the activity or area you want to explore and a view of the park you are interested in.
New Website Navigation
Our menus have also changed, helping customers and stakeholders quickly navigate to the areas of deepest interest. Whether you are interested in wildlife viewing, hunting or angling, or learning more about a species, we are creating easier pathways to find what you need.

Importantly, the site meets all state and federal accessibility requirements, ensuring that Colorado Parks and Wildlife continues our work toward a Colorado for All. These requirements make content easier for screen readers to assist low-vision or blind customers and provide translation into multiple languages.

Change Can Be Challenging!
We know change is always a challenge, and we’ve worked hard to make the site more accessible, visually appealing, and informative. During the first few months, we will see how the website is being used, review common questions and searches, and monitor other tools to help us understand where and how to make future changes. There will be a process of continuous improvement over the coming weeks and months, and we encourage you to keep using and exploring the new site so we can help serve you better.
Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the launch date!
