‘State Parks: The Fish Awaken’

As a child of the ’80s, the only thing I enjoyed more than fishing when I was a kid was “Star Wars.” So, it seemed like the perfect way to feed my inner geek by creating a funny “Star Wars” parody video based on fishing.

By now, just about everyone has seen the trailers for the upcoming film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The first trailer, which debuted back in November of last year, has received a mind-blowing 17 million views on YouTube.

Inspired by the scenes in this first trailer and the mass hysteria that’s followed, Colorado Outdoors Online proudly (and humorously) presents “State Parks: The Fish Awaken.” Our trailer features a talking catfish and a lightsaber fishing-rod. How cool is that?

Enjoy the video. And “may the fish be with you, always.”

Produced by Jerry L. Neal (CPW).

  1. Absolute. Best video parody I’ve seen. I am a star wars fanatic. Fantastic, spot on, awesome. Thank you!
